Fun Day Ahead!

We may have lost our minds but we are up to something crazy today. I'll share pictures of the craziness this afternoon but for now we're enjoying this sunny Saturday morning and getting ready for a softball game.

Easter and Spring Break

I've been enjoying Spring Break since Thursday afternoon and it has been a much needed break. I've been able to get some spring cleaning done, spend time with my mom, enjoy lots of time with Kris and had a little bit of time to rest too. Sadly, Kris had to go back to work today so I'm missing him a lot. I always get spoiled when we have extended weekends together.

Over the weekend, we were able to spend time with both sides of the family. We went to church at Love Chapel Hill where Kris' brother Matt preaches. We love Chapel Hill and miss being there each week. After church, we had a big Easter lunch with all the LeRoys and celebrated a very special 5th birthday. It's hard to believe in a few short months the 4 grandchildren will become 7! It's going to be fun watching these sweet cousins grow up together.

After the fun in Chapel Hill, we headed back home and spent the evening with my mom, brother, sister and my sister's boyfriend, Rob. We even made time for a walk after supper. I was exhausted from being on-the-go all day but it was a great day spent with each of our families and I'm glad it worked out for us to see everyone. I'll try to get my act together soon and upload our pictures and share some of our favorites.

Until then, I'll keep enjoying this break. Thursday is still 2 days away. :)

Back in Action

After taking a break for the past 7 months, I decided it's time to bring the blog back. We've been so busy that I've hardly missed blogging...and let's face it, I wasn't that consistent with it like I thought I would be. But, with a huge change around the corner for our family, I wanted to get back into writing and reflecting on our journey through the next phase in our marriage...a baby! 

That's right, we're having a baby and we couldn't be more excited. We found out on March 15th that we're having a boy and we affectionately refer to him as "Baby Boy LeRoy" (I told Kris we should name him that, but he's not going for it). My mom had a dream that we named him "Sir Lawerence." Crazy woman. Naturally, she calls him "Sir" now. I think that's her way of getting back at me for the silly nickname my sister and I gave my brother when he was a baby. We made up a song to go with the nickname. Yeah, we were cool. 

Anyway, that's basically the latest in our house these days. We can't wait to start this new chapter in our lives and I'm so blessed to be able to share it all with Kris. He's the best dad to his girls and Baby Boy LeRoy is going to be one lucky baby.

But...until he arrives in August, we'll be sleeping as much as possible. :)
